Betty Daze Ahead is an illustrator, mixed media artist and designer who was brought up in the picturesque wild of rural Wales beneath the Black Mountains. Betty holds a Bachelors in Illustration and Visual Communication from Birmingham City University, with a specialty in print making.

Now settled in the breathtaking Hereford countryside with their family and sidekicks, Parze (the wire-haired dachshund) and the tortoise trio; Cooper, Beano & Shuckle. It is obvious that their escape into imaginary worlds sparks joy and intrigue in all who sees their art.

Betty’s style has evolved from a passion for natural history and a deep fascination of all things in the natural world (from biggest beasty to creepiest crawly), a love for adventure, fossil hunting and foraging, a strong belief in self-compassion and positivity, mixed with an intrigue of colour, texture and character design.

Their style of work has been described as ‘quaintly whimsical’ and ‘uplifting’ and their use of bold lines, cheerful palettes and endearing personification and optimistic expression truly show in their belief that through hardship, there are always ‘BETTER DAYS AHEAD!’
